MAAM Douglas DC-3 Scottish Airlines Textures.
Scottish Airlines was formed in 1946 as the airline division
of Prestwick based Scottish Aviation. The airline operated
scheduled services within the UK along with charter work on
a world wide basis. The backbone of their fleet in the immediate
post war years was a dozen or so Douglas C47 Dakotas with
long haul work being carried out by 5 Consolidated Liberator
II & III transports. By 1958, the fleet was reduced to
just one C47B (G-AMPP), this aircraft maintained the summer
Prestwick to Isle of Man service and earned revenue during
the winter with whatever charter work could be found. Due
to her varied work routines and her pronouncable registration
letters she was affectionately known by the airline staff
as "G-AMPP the Tramp". These are textures for MAAM
Douglas DC-3 package available from Mid Atlantic Air Museum
Simulations (MAAM-SIM) at www.maam.org
Scottish Airlines textures by Jaap de Baare. Based on repaint
templates by Mark Beaumont and original textures by Jan Visser.

Abacus Lockheed VC-121A Constellation "Columbine II"
Textures. The Lockheed C-121A Constellation is the military
transport version of the L-749A Constellation. Delivered on
22 November 1948, this particular aircraft was soon converted
to VC-121A VIP-transport. From November 1952 till November
1954 this was the personal transport of President Dwight D.
Eisenhower. In 1952, President Eisenhower was flying to Florida.
The Presidential plane was named 'Columbine II' (after the
official flower of Colorado, the First Lady’s home state),
but it was identified to flight controllers as “Air
Force 610” (from its tail number 48-610). However, flying
in the same general region was Eastern Airlines Flight 610.The
Eastern Airlines pilot overheard a conversation between flight
controllers and the President’s plane, and for a moment
thought the references to flight “610” were meant
for him. Although nothing untoward happened, the government
realized that the confusion could have been tragic. Since
then, any Air Force aircraft with the President on board has
been referred to as “Air Force One.” Thus, the
'Columbine II' was the first aircraft to be distinguished
with this designation, and she served President Eisenhower
for several years in this role. by Maarten Brouwer. 3.5MB

Abacus Lockheed L-749A Constellation TWA 1958 Textures.
In June 1939 TWA (Transcontinental & Western Air) required
a four-engined airliner capable of flying transcontinental
US services non stop west to east or with one stop travelling
in the opposite direction against the prevailing wind. The
specification was drawn up by TWA's major shareholder Howard
Hughes and TWA-director Jack Frye. The intial result was the
L-49 Constellation, but before the first aircraft was built
WWII broke out and the Connie was drafted by the militaries
as C-69. After the war the C-69 was renamed L-049 Constellation
and delivered to a.o. TWA (27). The L-649 and L-749 Constellations
were the first true civil versions. TWA used 12 L-749's and
28 L-749A's from March 1948 till 1967. This particular L-749A,
N6001C 'Star of New Jersey', flew with TWA from 24 March 1950
till September 1966. It was scrapped in 1968. These are textures
only. You will require Francisco Sánchez-Castañer's
great payware Lockheed L-749 Constellation, which can be obtained
from Abacus' Platinum Collection (see http://www.abacuspub.com/default.html).

Abacus Lockheed L-749A Constellation KLM 1958 Textures.
KLM was a major European operator of various models of the
Lockheed Constellation and Super Constellation. Out of 48
Connies and Super Connies, 13 were L-749 (8 of them later
converted to L-749A) and 9 were L-749A Constellations. The
first L-749 entered service with KLM in August 1947, and for
some 13 years this and the other L-749(A) Connies served on
various medium- and long-haul routes. PH-LDE 'Utrecht' served
with KLM from 26 July 1950 till 3 March 1960, after which
she was stored for almost 3 years before being sold. These
are textures only. You will require Francisco Sánchez-Castañer's

served with KLM from 1 October 1947 till November 1959. After
conversion into a freighter, the Connie soon stayed idle and
was cocooned till July 1964, when at last she was sold to
the USA. From then on she was owned by numerous firms, often
rather obscure until, in 1982, she finally ended up as a museum
piece at the Science Museum in Wroughton, England, UK. There
she has been restored for static display in an attractive
TWA livery. These are textures only. You will require Francisco

Carenado Beech Bonanza V35B Adolf Galland "The Fat One"
Textures.
Repaint of Adolf Galland's personal Beech Bonanza V35B. The
former Luftwaffe Fighter General bought this aircraft in 1960
and flew it several years, affectionately nicknaming it "The
Fat One". Being not sure of the colors, having only white
and black pictures of this aircraft, I decided to depict it
into a Brown/Gold scheme which fits the Bonanza quite well.
