Introduction

There are currently several excellent gMax tutorials on the net (see Links). However, as I was struggling to build my first aircraft in gMax I had trouble finding a quality tutorial that was "simple" enough to get me started (maybe I'm alone in this, but I found that P-38 tutorial nearly useless).

This tutorial is designed to fill that gap; to give the new gMax user a boost so those more advanced tutorials make sense! The fact is, gMax is so bloody hard when you first start playing with it that I think a lot of guys give up. That's a shame, because my theory is More designers = more (& better) airplanes!

This is a work in progress! You can see I have a long way to go. I'm always looking for corrections, suggestions, and/or better ways of doing things. I'll be constantly updating this as I go, so be sure to hit your Refresh botton a few times to make sure you have the latest version. If there's not a link available in the index, then I haven't finished that part of the tutorial yet, so check back!

Note: Thanks to Conan52 this tutorial is also posted at Simfighter. You can also Download a zipfile containing this tutorial. This is simply my latest version zipped and uploaded, so the hyperlinks at the top for the Gryphon site will not work. Simply unzip into it's own folder and open the gMax_00.htm in your browser.
