CFS2 Panels

Gryphon Panels and Aircraft Packages

Most of these aircraft are still using CFS1-style single resolution visual models, but have CFS2 new panels, gauges, DP, and Air files. We will update these aircraft to multi-LOD (Level Of Detail) MDLs when visual models become available.

Mosquito Bombsight Panel and Mods (6.45 MB). Includes VB Aircraft. This bombsight and panels are designed for the Gryphon Mosquito Mk IV which is still in development (We'll get it done one of these days. Really!). In view of the release of the VB-Mosquito, Gryphon has decided to release these panels for use with those models. FEATURES IN THIS MODEL: 1. We believe the Bombsight is a unique feature. It has been developed over a two-year and two-simulation period. The bombsight must be specifically set up for an aircraft model. It is not "Plug and Play" to just any model in your hangar. 1.NEW PANEL DESIGN. While these panels make wide use of default CFS gauges, switches and icons, it also uses free ware gauges taken from the web or used by permission of the designers. We were unable to identify the designer on one or two of them. If the designer objects, the gauges will be promptly removed or credit given as desired.

CFS2 Beaufighter Mk X Panel and Modifications (3.16MB). This zip contains a panel, gauges, air & DP file, and several weapons load set-ups for a Beaufighter Mk X. The visual model was done by Doc Blake of Pegasus Aviation Design and may be downloaded at Flighsim.com (Search for "beauftr.zip"), or see the several new, excellent multi-LOD Beaufighters that use our Airfile Here at Simviation by Colin Muir.

CFS2 Heinkel He 219 Uhu (Owl) (2.4MB). The Heinkel He 219 Uhu (Owl) was a late war addition to the Nachtflieger and many consider it the best night fighter of the war, even though it was somewhat under-powered. The He-219 carried a crew of two, was armed with eight 20mm and 30mm cannon, and was the first operational aircraft to feature ejection seats. This model includes transparent propellers, navigation and landing lights, a lighted instrument panel and a gunsight for the Schrage Musik (upward firing cannon). This packed includes the complete aircraft for CFS2 (new panel, gunsight, air & DP file). The visual model was created by Gryphon Aviation for CFS1 using AF99. We felt that it had a level of quality that would enable it to operate in CFS 2 with a few modifications. We will build a new multi-MDL visual model for CFS2 if there is enough intrest. For a full history of the He-219 R7 that this model represents, read the information for the CFS1 version. You’ll want the excellent Jumo engine sounds by Mike Hambly (1.71 MB)

CFS2 A-1H Panel and Modifications (2.15MB). This zip contains a panel, gauges, air & DP file, and several weapons load set-ups for an A1-H Skyraider. Most of these were included in Ed Wilson's multi-LOD package in our CFS2 Aircraft section. Or, one of the CFS1 style visual models by Eddie Allen may be downloaded at the Duxford Legends Homepage (they have several versions to choose from). You will also need Martin Wright's excellent CFS-2 Extra Weapons Library available at MW Graphics.

Modified VB Helldiver Panel (1.03 MB). This panel adds the Gryphon Nav panels. It also allows messages to appear inside the canopy frame. The pop-ups are controlled by toggles or icons. Includes optional SDB2C_notes with Pacific data. It uses the SB2C gauges , defaults, and adds. You must have the VB SB2C gauges installed. By GZR_Sactargets.

FDG P-47D Thunderbolt Panel (644 KB). This panel was done principally to add the Gryphon Navigation panels to the Fighter Design Group P-47D Thunderbolt . The CFS P-47 bitmaps were the basis for the modification. There were some minor changes to sizes and locations of the default gauges. The positions of the gauges and those included are based on information in the Model Graphix P-47 Monograph. In addition, there were some additions of toggles for the navigation panels, Aircraft lights and weapons gauge. By GZR_Sactargets.
